About Paige Soya
With nearly 15 years of financial experience and four years in C-suite level or executive management roles, Soya delivers a rare combination of operational excellence and strategic fundraising advice to her clients and colleagues. Soya has provided senior counsel to a diverse set of clients ranging from early-stage, venture-backed startups to later stage $70M-revenue corporations from her proven success in early-stage financings, executive leadership, forward-looking financial projections, and cash flow analysis and management. In addition to her consulting engagements, Soya also manages K Street Capital, an early stage investment firm.
After obtaining her bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, Paige Soya first worked as a director of investment operations before taking the lead as a private client advisor for Brown Advisory in Baltimore, Maryland, where she provided financial advice, planning, and cash flow management to family offices, foundations and trusts in the areas of investment allocation, tax, estate and charitable planning. While working at Brown Advisory, she spent nights and weekends earning her M.B.A. in finance from Johns Hopkins’ Carey School of Business.
Paige then took the bold step of establishing a socially-conscious tech company, Full Society, which eventually merged with and became GoTab. The GoTab payment platform, which enables users to quickly split and pay their restaurant bills on their phones, was inspired by Paige’s experience waiting tables through college. GoTab became a data analytics and reporting tool with multiple industry applications prior to Paige’s departure.
With these experience in technology and finance, Paige has proven herself to be a go-getter who achieves results and continues to make headway in a field that is traditionally male-dominated. During her time with GoTab, Soya raised more than $2 million in venture funding and achieved 100% MoM growth in a 6-month period. In her time as an advisor, she has provided counsel to a diverse range of clients, from early-stage, venture backed start-ups to later stage, well-funded corporations.
Continuing her focus on giving back, Paige served for 8 years as a CASA volunteer, and two years as the Director of Finance for the Shine Foundation, a nonprofit organization which helps provide free financial education to survivors of physical and domestic abuse. She is currently focused on mentoring women locally in Washington D.C. on the topic of entrepreneurship, personal finance, career, and life.
Paige is an avid runner, reader, traveler, and music-lover. She has run over 40 full marathons across the world, and in 2010 was the youngest woman to run a marathon on all 7 continents (which she has now completed twice).
